DESERT DASH RUN-27 March 2011
Maari Ma staff are strong advocates of exercise and joining in community events which promote healthy eating and exercise. When news spread that there would be a second community YMCA Living Desert Fun Run many Maari Ma staff put up there hands to participate.
Maari Ma CEO, Bob Davis, encouraged staff even further by saying Maari Ma would reimburse every staff member who entered as well as their friends and relatives the cost of their entry fee which was $20.00 for adults and $10.00 for children.
Dietician, Mark Lee, drove the campaign and coaxed the staff who had a choice of either a 10 km fun run/walk; a 5 km run/walk or a 3 km run/walk.

Congratulations to Maari Ma staff for participating in the
Living Desert Dash Fun Run 2011.
Well done to the following staff who took part and flew the Maari Ma banner.
Jo Condon and her daughter Emma, Margaret - Ann Cook, Lesley Woolf, Kaylene Kemp, Graham Archer, Katherine McInroy, Sari Cummings and motivator, Mark Lee and his partner Krystal. Mark said it was fantastic to see staff participating and our organisation being represented.

The YMCA Living Desert Fun Run
2011 was held under clear outback skies starting from the Broken Hill Sculptures and ending at Picton Oval.
